Straight to my lover’s heart for me..

My introduction to Sam Cooke was the scene in Witness when Harrison Ford dances with Kelly McGillis while (What A) Wonderful World plays in the background. That scene inspired me to find out more about Sam Cooke. The man had a voice like butter and had so many great songs, unfortunately he was taken from this world too early. Here are some of my favorite Sam Cooke tunes…..

Sam Cooke – Cupid

Sam Cooke – (What A) Wonderful World

Sam Cooke – Chain Gang

I love Sam Cooke. Love. His music reminds me of my parents, and dancing in the living room when I was young.

(What A) Wonderful World and Chain Gang are two of my favourites as well.

Thanks for posting these, nice to have a trip down memory lane.

Yeah, he’s right up there with Marvin Gaye for me. Brilliant.
